Voter Information Look up your voter information Voter Registration Deadline is 30 days before an election!
The deadline for registering for the March 4, 2008 Primary Election is February 4, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. The deadline for registering for the November 4, 2008 General Election is October 6, 2008 at 9:00 p.m.
You may register to vote at any of the following locations:
Any county board of elections or the Secretary of State's office.
Any public high school or vocational school.
The offices of the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
At offices of designated agencies that provide public assistance or disability programs.
At public libraries.
At county treasurers' offices.
By mail. You may request a registration form from any board of elections office or the Secretary of State's office by mail, email, telephone, in person or by having another person obtain it for you.
***Your registration form must be received by one of the above registration locations 30 days before an election to be valid for that election.***

The Primary Election will be held on March 4, 2008.
The primary will determine the allocation of Presidential and Vice-Presidential delegates and alternate delegates to the candidates at the political parties' national nominating conventions to be held in mid 2008.

Absentee Voting
Request forms for No Fault Absentee ballots for the Primary and General Election are now available at the Board of Elections office. You may call and request a form to be sent to you by mail or download a form from the Secretary of State's Website.
Absentee Request Form
Absentee Ballots for the Primary Election are now available at the Board of Elections Office, 15 S. Court St.,Rm 130. Voters wishing to vote prior to the election may do so by voting in person at the Board of Elections office Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by submitting an application to request a ballot to be mailed to the voter. The last day to apply for an absentee ballot to be mailed is Saturday, March 1, 2008 by 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Voters who would like more information on voting by absentee ballot may contact our office by calling (740) 592-3201.
Provisional Voting
Moved or changed your name and did not update your voter registration If you are an Ohio voter who moved from one Ohio precinct to another Ohio precinct and did not submit your change of address to election officials by the 29th day before the election, you still may vote in that election by taking the appropriate steps described below:
1. If you move from one precinct to another in the same Ohio county, you may report the change and vote using one of the following procedures:
a. During the 28 days immediately before the election, go to your county board of elections office or designated site, submit a proper change of address, complete a provisional affirmation statement and vote a provisional ballot for your new voting address. b. On Election Day, go to one of the following three places: the polling place in the precinct in which your new voting address is located, the board of elections office, or a site designated by that board of elections; submit a proper change of address, complete a provisional affirmation statement and vote a provisional ballot for your new voting address. 2. If you move from the Ohio county in which you are registered to vote to another Ohio county, you may report the change and vote using one of the following procedures:
a. During the 28 days immediately before the election, go to the board of elections office of the county in which you now reside, submit a proper change of address, complete a provisional affirmation statement and vote a provisional ballot for your new voting address.
b. On Election Day, go to one of the following two places: the board of elections office in the county in which you now reside or a site designated by that board of elections; submit a proper change of address, complete a provisional affirmation statement and vote a provisional ballot for your new voting address. 3. If you change your name, you may report the change and vote using one of the following procedures:
a. During the 28 days immediately before the election, go to your county board of elections office or designated site, submit a proper change of name, complete a provisional affirmation statement and vote a provisional ballot.
On Election Day, go to one of the following three places: your polling place for your precinct, the board of elections office, or a site designated by that board of elections; submit a proper change of name, complete a provisional affirmation statement and vote a provisional ballot.
